not sure how to set this up
-
the information on setting up Netfree is very unclear and the ISP has been very unhelpful, as they don't seem to know much about it either.
I ordered the line and ISP and Netfree and set up an account on Netfree. How does the account I set on netfree get associated with my line? how will the filter settings I set on the website in my account get to my line?
Also, I picked the kehilla I am associated with for filtering, but how do I set what type of internet filtering I need? I only want access to email, and set דואר אךקטרומני as open with nothing else, but when I log back in it does not show there. Do I need to then lock it? if I lock it only the vaada of the kehilla will be able to make changes. is that what i need to do? -

Which ISP? When you order from an ISP that works with Netfree, your line will automatically be filtered, you will only be able to browse after setting up your Netfree account and associating your line with your account.
If you are able to browse freely, you seem not to have a ordered the correct item from the ISP. -

Did you save your settings (by clicking the "Save" button in the top right corner of the settings page)?

Upon browsing for the first time after you are connected to NetFree you will be directed to the NetFree Welcome Page. after finishing configuration the connection will be attached to your NetFree Account.
You will also get an email introducing you to NetFree.

thanks. I am actually setting it up tomorrow as the ISP just sent the router. I am just looking in advance how to do it.
The ISP (019) said that for the netfree filter settings I have to be in touch with netfree, they just handle creating/processing the account. I dont really see a way to contact netfree, so I am kind of just winging it. I created a user account and I see filter options. on the one hand, I need to set it as controlled by a specific vaada kehilati, but I also see the option for gmail only. with the specific vaada I am not quite sure how to set it for email only. I guess I will try by setting it to the specific vaada and then only open gmail.com in the filter -

As others pointed out, you will automatically be redirected to a page which will allow you to login to your netfree account and associate it with your current connection.

That should work.
I think it will depend on which kehilla you are in whether you will have control over the filter setting or you will have to send a request to the kehilla supervisor.
When opening gmail only, use the tags as opposed to manually inputting the settings since there are a few domains that need to be allowed. -

Connecting to a Kehilla is optional. if you do connect to a Kehilla then
- You will not be able to exit on your own - you will need to contact the Kehilla to release you.
- The Kehilla will be able to set your internet settings (Which sites or catagories will be open/closed for you) and set weather or not you can set your own settings (ex. stricter then the Kehilla settings).
